Surprising Sharks!

Today we had a visitor to our school. Nicola Davies is a children's story teller, writer and nature expert. Nicola shared her special knowledge of sharks and fish with Reception in the Library today.



As you know we are talking about Light and an amazing thing we learned was that there is a fish called a 'lantern fish' and it has a light on it's tummy so that when the shark is hunting it cannot see the shadow of this fish! It cannot see the shadow because of the light....
Wow! It is amazing how these creatures can protect themselves. Your child can teach you how to make a Sperm Whale sound by clicking the teeth - don't forget to ask them today!
