Learning about making a tally

 
Next, my group cut up the instructions for making jelly. The children watched an example and noted that there were numbers for 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th.

Miss Niema's group thought about what they wanted to ask the older children about; e.g. what is your favourite time at school - we got lots of different ideas and the children were very clear and assertive when they spoke to the Year 1 children for their surveys.

We decided to colour the ACTION words green for go!

And, yes, the children said we have to actually make the jelly too1 We even had one fresh orange, so we  added the fresh juice to the powder.
