Great to be back in the limelight!

We are just starting our new Unit - Light and dark.
The children are very excited to see the new flashlights and have already started experimenting in class. 

Jin bao is very excited to see what he can do with the torches and the bog box....

Jun decided it was too light inside so he asked to close the blinds...

 Please keep sending any boxes to us as we are starting to make box models and need lots of different shapes and sizes. Dyhano worked out that the gum glue would not 'connect' any boxes.

Carla and Rahma connected their boxes - Rahma wanted to make binoculars then so did everybody! - more loo rolls and kitchen rolls please!

So much fun! A big bad wolf, a monster.... they told me that if they went inside and closed all the doors and turned off the torches it went really dark! - Basic science experiments....self proposed and conducted... way to go Reception...

Everyone in together.....we are learning lots inside this box!

"Look", said someone, "shadows.... the light from the torch is round, like the moon... shining on our hair...."

Definitely an explanation going on... I need to check with Saja and see what she is thinking...!
