last week we went to check out the theatre and noticed all the seat numbers. We played games finding numbers in the different rows. The children also noticed that there were letters.
This week we went back and the plan was to decide where our family might sit.
The children had to think how many people would be coming to the show; get the right number of post-its, then find seats in the theatre. This led to sequencing numbers and use of numbers up to 80 in some cases!
The children also labelled their post-it with either their name of the name of their family.
A fabulous activity. The notes blew off in the strong wind unfortunately...... but this is ok as maybe we need to reflect on seats chosen and repeat the activity to see our final choices of seat!
