Extended play leads to deeper thinking and creativity...

This is how it all started
There was a lot of discussion about the shells - identifying different shapes and sizes, comparing them and reflecting on shells they had found in other places..

We were talking about the effect of water on the chalk.
Now the track is quite complicated with lots of connections, bridges and the boys are using helipads, helicopters and trains to transport the lion and make up stories. The team work and collaboration is EXCELLENT!

Pavement artists today!

This is Judy's finished work.

The play today was very rich the children all engaged and had full autonomy to make decisions that were important to them.

Finally the boys asked if they could use lego for the Zoo....
